The idea behind The parent play list is simple: to write a go-to guide to budget-friendly adventures for children and their grown ups in and around the West Country.

It’s written by me, mum to two fabulous girls, about the things we get up to out and about, and sometimes at home, in Somerset and surrounding areas. The Little Big One is three and currently loves singing, running, cooking with mummy and daddy, riding her new bike, and making dens. The Not So Tiny One is one and currently loves practicing her new-found walking skills, climbing literally everything, bubbles, slides and dogs.

Here, you’ll find reviews and information on a bunch of toddler-friendly pursuits that won’t break the bank (as well as a few to keep the adults happy too).

In addition to sharing all of our favourite regular activities with you, I’ll be seeking out all the fun, interesting, adventurous and just plain brilliant stuff available to do throughout the county and beyond, from groups and one-off events to stress-free day trips and eating out.
